At KEFI Counseling, we provide VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) Mental Health Evaluations for individuals seeking immigration relief due to experiences of domestic violence, abuse, or extreme cruelty by a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident spouse or family member.
A VAWA evaluation is a confidential and trauma-informed assessment that documents the emotional, psychological, and behavioral effects of abuse. The process includes a comprehensive clinical interview and psychological assessment to understand how the abuse has impacted the individual’s mental health, daily functioning, and overall well-being.
Our evaluator prepares a detailed, professional report that meets U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) requirements. This report provides supporting evidence for immigration cases and helps attorneys demonstrate the emotional hardship and trauma their clients have endured.
At KEFI Counseling, we approach every evaluation with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and respect. We understand the courage it takes to share these experiences, and we provide a safe, supportive environment throughout the process.
If a client requires an interpreter for counseling sessions or evaluations, the client will be responsible for any interpreter fees. KEFI Counseling can provide referrals to certified interpretation services upon request.
We are committed to providing accessible and culturally sensitive services. Clients are encouraged to notify us in advance if interpreter services are needed so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
Evaluation: $850 ($250 is required to schedule appointment)
